Eye contact is the most powerful mode of establishing a communicative link between humans. Neuro analysis shows elevated levels of brain activity when two individuals are in a mutual gaze, which is arguably the major foundation for all social skills. Locking eyes with someone is more then merely a sight; its a connection between two beings, an acknowledgment of mutual existence. A moment that only you and the other person consciously exist in. Every photograph in this series is taken at the second the subjects eyes meet my own through my cameras viewfinder. Pressing the shutter i capture a raw representation of each individual at that moment in time. I seek out and find individuals those of which i choose to share moments with. I observe them as they observe me one second at a time.
This is not a study of people; this is a study of people studying people.
